There are many technological innovations along with
the plastic materials that make life quite easy, are the versatile, inexpensive
and durable. As a result of multi-directional use, there is an environmental
body that should pay for plastic everywhere. The most effective solution to
wastes from use is to recycle plastics by separating them from waste. Recycle;
is important to reduce the consumption of resources and the amount of waste
refuse. In this study, recyclable materials were used to evaluate the waste. In
this study; it is aimed to improve the properties of recycled polypropylene
(PP) and rice husk blend. The aim of this study is to contribute to the
protection of the environment by using recycling products. Recycled
polypropylene and rice husk materials were be granulated by mixing in the twin
screw extruder to obtain a homogeneous mixture. 5, 10, 20, 30 percent rice husk
were added to recycled PP. In order to ensure adhesion between the recycled PP
and the rice husk, 5% of polypropylene copolymer (MA-g-PP) grafted into the
mixture with 5% maleic anhydride were added. The samples; Moisture, abrasion,
friction, melt flow index (MFI), Vicat softening temperature, HDT thermal
distortion temperature, SEM tests were carried out and the effect of the rice
husk was observed.
