Abstract

“How much space is there for the body and movement in medical education?”

This question, posed by a fourth-year medical student (A), who participated in my (I.S.’s) doctoral research on embodied learning through somatic experience activity, highlights a critical gap in medical education. A’s short narrative about this somatic experience is presented below as re-narrated by I.S. using the student’s own phrases.
