Bu makale disiplinler arası sanatsal üretimi, insan sağlığını önemsemeyen endüstrileşme sonrası yükselişe geçen ve ilk olarak 1960’lar sonrası Amerikan sanat ortamında ilgi uyandıran ekolojik sanat örneğinde ele alır. Makale bir yandan sanatın ve sanatçının geleneksel sınırları aşarak farklı disiplinlerle bağ kuruşunu, öte yandan sanat eserinin kurumsallaşmış mekanlardan kentin sokaklarına ve kırsal alanlara yayılışını inceler. Sanatsal üretimin, edilgen bir şekilde izlenen bir eserden kente müdahale eden, toplumsal süreçlerin aktif katılımcısı olan aktöre dönüşümü ekolojik sanat kapsamında irdelenir. Burada, artık tanımlanmış ve kabul görmüş anlayışlarla sanat yapan sanatçılar değil sanatın anlamına, biçimine ve onun mekanına müdahale eden sanatçılar ön plandadır. Bu makalede yer alan ekolojik sanat eserlerinin tümü, bir yandan doğayla bağımızı vurgularken öte yandan sanatı, galeri veya müze gibi geleneksel mekanların, atölyelerin dışına, insan eliyle kirletilmiş alanlara taşır. Bunu yaparken de pek çok farklı disiplinle bağ kurar ve sanatın geleneksel tanımını dönüştürür. Sıradan gibi gözüken işlerin sanat eseri olarak kabul edilebilmesi için seyircinin de ön yargılarını, alıştığı geleneksel sanat eseri beklentilerini bırakmasını talep eder.
This article deals with interdisciplinary artistic production in the example of ecological art, which started to rise after industrialization, which did not care about human health, and first aroused interest in the American art scene after the 1960s. The article examines both the art and the artist's connection with different disciplines by crossing traditional boundaries, and the spread of the work of art from institutionalized spaces to the streets of the city and rural areas. The transformation of artistic production from a work that is watched passively to an actor who is an active participant in the social processes that intervene in the city is examined within the scope of ecological art. Here, not the artists who make art with defined and accepted understandings, but the artists who interfere with the meaning, form, and space of art are at the forefront. All of the ecological artworks in this article, on the one hand, emphasize our connection with nature, on the other hand, they carry art out of traditional spaces such as galleries or museums, workshops, into human-polluted areas. In doing so, it connects with many different disciplines and transforms the traditional definition of art. It demands that the audience abandon their prejudices and expectations of traditional works of art in order for works that seem ordinary to be accepted as works of art.
