Söz konusu çalışmada Gottfried von Straßburg'un eski Alman başyapıtlarından biri olan Tristan'daki iki baş karakter Tristan ve Isolde arasındaki aşkın kökeni incelenecektir. Seçilen eser, 'Minne'nin tanımı, gelişimi ve işlevi dönemin diğer eserlerinden farklı olduğu için orta çağ eserleri arasında özel bir anlam taşımaktadır. İşin dönüm noktası özellikle 'Minnetrank' sahnesi ile gündeme gelmiştir. Bu sebeple öncelikle 'Minnetrank'ın eserdeki işlevi ve konumu ele alınacaktır. Diğer iki bölümden oluşan çalışmanın birinci bölümünde 'Minnetrank'ın Gottfried von Straßburg'un eserindeki konumu, tanımı ve iksir sahnesine yer verilerek farklı bir bakış açısı sunulacaktır. Daha sonra iksirin çeşitli işlevleri ele alınacaktır. İkinci bölümde Minne'nin iksir öncesi durumu metinden seçilen bölümlerle analiz edilecektir. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmanın amacı, Minnetrank iksir sahnesinden önce Tristan ve Isolde arasında sözde 'Minne'in başlayıp başlamadığını ve başladıysa ne zaman ve nasıl başladığını göstermektir. Sonuç olarak 'Minnetrank'ın konumu, tanımı ve iksiri, iksirin çeşitli işlevleri okuyucuya gösterilecektir.
In this study, the origin of the love affair between the two protagonists Tristan and Isolde in Gottfried von Straßburg's one of the old German masterpieces, Tristan, will be examined. The selected work has a special meaning among his contemporaries because the definition, development and function of 'Minne' differ from other works of the period. The turning point of the work came to the fore especially with the 'Minnetrank' scene. For this reason, first of all, the function and position of 'Minnetrank' in the work will be discussed. In the first part of the study, which consists of other two parts, a different perspective will be presented by giving place to the position, definition and potion scene of 'Minnetrank' in Gottfried von Straßburg's work. Then, various functions of the elixir will be discussed. In the second part, Minne's situation before the potion will be analyzed with selected sections from the text. Therefore, the aim of the given paper is to show whether and if so when and how the so-called ‘Minne’ started between Tristan and Isolde before the drinking scene of the Minnetrank. Consequently, the position, definition and potion of 'Minnetrank', various functions of the elixir and the potion scene will be shown to the reader.
