Okul sağlığı ve okul sağlığı hemşireliği tarihi ülkemiz tarihi kadar eskidir. Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarından itibaren okul sağlığı adına yapılan girişimleri görmek mümkündür. Okul sağlığı hemşireliği adına atılmış en güncel ve en umut verici gelişme ise Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Okul Sağlığı Hemşirelerinin Çalışma Usul ve Esasları Hakkında Yönergesidir. Yönerge ile okul hemşirelerinin en az lisans derecesine sahip olacakları netleştirilmiş olup Ortaöğretim Kurumları Yönetim Taslağında yer alan her okulda bir hemşire söylemi hayata geçirilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Mart 2023 tarihli merkez ve taşra teşkilatı için 500 okul sağlığı hemşiresi alımı yapılmıştır. Bu derlemenin amacı, okul sağlığı hemşireliğinin ülkemizdeki durumunu ve güncel yasal düzenlemeler doğrultusunda okul sağlığı hemşireliği uygulamalarını açıklamaktır.
School health and school health nursing have a history as old as our country itself. Initiatives related to school health can be traced back to the early years of the Republic. The most recent and most promising development on behalf of school health nursing is the Ministry of National Education's Directive on Working Procedures and Principles of School Health Nurses. This directive clarifies that school nurses will have at least a bachelor's degree, and the statement "one nurse per school" from the Draft Regulation on Secondary Education Institutions has started to be implemented. In line with this, as of March 2023, a recruitment of 500 school health nurses has been carried out for central and provincial organizations. The purpose of this review is to elucidate the status of school health nursing in our country and to explain the implementation of school health nursing practices in accordance with current legal regulations.
