The connection between autoimmunity and cancer is dynamic and bidirectional. The concoming and encouragement of cancer may be contributed by the various autoimmune diseases. Yet, during cancer prognosis or cancer therapies, autoimmune response can be triggered because of the immunogenic milieu. Such non-specific immunologic activations can further promote to immune-related adverse events (irAEs) and autoimmune diseases. In this chapter, the origin of autoimmune responses during cancer prognosis as well as irAEs secondary to cancer prognosis and treatments is discussed. The factors playing a role on irAEs secondary to cancer, the incidence of irAEs on solid cancers, and treatment considerations are highlighted.
