Öz
Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin hayatımıza girmesiyle iletişim alanında yaşanan gelişmeler, gazeteciliği ve dolayısıyla haberin üretim, dağıtım ve tüketim süreçlerini de dönüştürmüştür. İletişim alanında yaşanan yapısal dönüşüm, toplumsal ve teknolojik temellere dayanan bir süreç içerisinde gerçekleşmiş ve bütün bu gelişmelerle birlikte teknoloji ile toplum arasındaki etkileşimin getirdiği dinamikler de, arz-talep ilişkisi doğrultusunda, yeni iletişim teknolojilerinin ortaya çıkmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Haberciliğin önemli ilkelerinden olan ve gerçeği olduğu gibi yansıtmak, saptırmamak olarak tanımlanan doğruluk kavramı, “hakikati arama çabası” olarak tanımlanan felsefenin ilk dönemlerinden itibaren, üzerinde önemli tartışmaların yürütüldüğü bir mesele olmuştur. İnsan varlığının, temelde “bilme” istediğinden doğan ve “hakikate” ulaşmak adına bir gayretin ürünü olan “haber” kavramı, doğruluk kavramı ile yakın bir ilişkiye sahiptir. Bu bakımdan, teknolojik gelişmeler neticesinde medyada yaşanan dönüşüm, haber ve doğruluk ilişkisinin, günümüz medyasının haber üretim, dağıtım ve tüketim dinamiklerinde yeniden değerlendirilmesi ihtiyacını ve önemini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Yeni iletişim teknolojilerinin ve ortamlarının, haberin dönüşümündeki haber ve doğruluk ilişkisini yeniden düzenleyen bir etken olarak görev aldığına işaret eden bu çalışmayla birlikte, haber ve doğruluk ilişkisine dair doğruluk kavramı ve haber olgusu temelinde, geçmişten günümüze gelen bir perspektif ile bütünsel bir yaklaşımın ortaya çıkarılması adına kavramsal ve tarihsel bir tartışma yürütülmüştür. Yürütülen bu tartışma neticesinde ise haber ve doğruluk ilişkisinin, günümüz haber medyasında çokça tartışılan “yalan haber” ve “yalan habere” karşı geliştirilmeye çalışılan haber doğrulama pratikleri temelinde kapsamlı olarak ele alınması gerekliliği ortaya konulmuştur.
Abstract
With the introduction of information and communication technologies, developments in the field of communication have also transformed journalism and thus the production, distribution and consumption processes of news. The structural transformation experienced in the field of communication has been realized in a process based on social and technological foundations and, the dynamics brought about by the interaction between technology and society have also prepared the ground for the emergence of new communication technologies in line with the supply-demand relationship. It is the foremost principle of all literary genres, especially the news, and to reflect the reality as it is, the notion of righteousness, which is defined as not to be deflected, has been an issue in which important debates have been carried out since the early periods of the philosophy defined as “the search for truth”. The concept of news, which is the product of an effort to reach “the truth” and which arises from the human being's fundamental desire “to know”, has a close relationship with the concept of truth. In this respect, the transformation of the media as a result of technological developments reveals the need to reevaluate the relationship between news and accuracy in the dynamics of news production, distribution and consumption of today's media. With this study, which points out that new communication technologies and media play a role in the transformation of news as a factor that rearranges the relationship between news and truth, a conceptual and historical discussion was conducted to reveal a holistic approach from the past to the present on the basis of the concept of truth and news phenomenon on the relation of news and truth. As a result of this discussion, an inference has been reached that the relationship between news and truth has to be comprehensively discussed on the basis of fact-checking practices which are tried to be developed against “fake news” phenomenon which are widely discussed in today's news media.
