Emergency situations are natural events that cannot be predicted, such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, avalanches, tornadoes, and storms, as well as human induced incidents such as fires, accidents, food poisoning, epidemics, violence, and terrorism. When such emergencies occur in schools, the safety of children and school staff depends on rapid intervention and the implementation of effective emergency management strategies. Emergency management is a comprehensive process that involves phases occurring before, during, and after the emergency. These processes include preparedness, risk mitigation, emergency response, and post-emergency recovery. Effective management of emergencies in schools requires proactive measures such as identifying potential hazards and risks, taking necessary precautions, educating students and staff, developing emergency plans, and ensuring their implementation.
