Özet

Throughout the last four decades, family communication patterns have been the subject of many researches in various fields and cultures. In a large part of these studies, Revised Family Communication Patterns (RFCP) scale is used. Thus, the aim of this study is to test validity and reliability of RFCP in Turkey. To this end, in the academic year 2016-2017, 741 students who are continuing their education in different faculties of Kastamonu University and 272 students attending secondary education in Kastamonu Central District are selected for research as a result of random sampling method. In the light of the data received, both descriptive and confirmatory factor analysis are conducted and psychometric properties of RFCP indicated that the scale is valid and reliable to be used for Turkish students.
