Özet

© 2021 IEEE.This paper presents a two-step optimisation approach for Electric Vehicle (EV) charger scheduling in residential distribution networks, with the objective of hosting the maximum number of EVs without violating network constraints, while simultaneously satisfying individual residential customer preferences for EV charging hours. The effectiveness of this approach is examined using two detailed case studies of residential distribution networks with high EV penetrations. The results obtained indicate that it was possible to maintain the network within its operating limits while fulfilling most of the customer charging preferences. This suggests that simple, offline control schemes can be very effective in managing EV charging demand in residential LV networks. However, the effectiveness of such an approach varies according to the network design and topology.
