BRC / IOP Standardının amacı; İngiltere’deki herhangi bir perakendeciye, onun tedarikçisine veya diğer standardı kullananlara ambalaj malzemesi temin eden firmalar için gerekli olan güvenlik, kalite ve uygulama kriterlerini belirlemektir. Standardın formatı ve içeriği firmanın tüm bölümlerini tetkik edebilecek şekilde dizayn edilmiştir ve bu tetkik akrediteli bir 3. taraf belgelendirme kuruluşu tarafından yapılmaktadır. Bu standarda uygunluğun sağlanabilmesi için gıda endüstrisi tedarikçileri üç temel kriteri yönetim sistemlerine adapte etmelidirler: HACCP, Kalite Yönetim Sistemi ve Fabrika çevresi standartlarının; ürün kontrolü, proses kontrolü ve personelin kontrolü ( İyi Üretim Uygulamaları, GMP ) BRC teknik standardı; BRC Global Standard – Gıda Food, BRC Müşteri Ürünleri ( Customer Products ) ve BRC \ IOP Ambalaj Malzemeleri olarak üç temel bölümden oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ambalaj üretimini baz alan BRC \ IOP bölümü üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Ülkemizde bu standardı alan bir ambalaj firması ile çalışmalar yapılarak, bir matbaa firmasının BRC\ IOP teknik standardını alması için yapması gereken işlemler belirlenmiştir.
The objective of BRC/IOP standards is to determine the security, the quality and the practice criteria for any retailer in England, for its suppliers or for firms who provide those who use other standards with package material. Format and content of the standard is designed to be able to inspect on all departments of the firm and this inspection is made by an accredited third party certification institution. In order to assure conformity with these standards, food industry suppliers should adopt three basic criteria to their management system: HACCP, Quality Management System and the control of factory environment standards, products, processes and personnel (Good Production Practices, GPP)
BRC technical standard is composed of three basic parts that are BRC Global Standard – Food, BRC Customer Products and BRC \ IOP Packaging Material. This article examines the BRC \ IOP part that takes package production as a base. Necessary procedures for a printing firm to acquire BRC \ IOP technical Standard are determined by doing studies with a firm that has acquired this standard in Turkey.
