ABS TRACT Childhood pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant global health concern, demanding early and accurate diagnosis to ensure timely intervention and prevention of disease spread.
Imaging techniques have played a pivotal role in the diagnosis and monitoring of pediatric TB, offering invaluable insights into the disease's clinical presentation, progression, and treatment response. A
combination of imaging techniques is indispensable for the comprehensive evaluation of childhood
pulmonary TB. These modalities, ranging from traditional chest radiography to advanced computed
tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and emerging technologies, contribute significantly to the
early diagnosis, accurate staging, and monitoring of pediatric TB cases. Integrating these imaging tools
into a multidisciplinary approach is crucial for improving clinical outcomes and reducing the burden
of childhood TB worldwide.
