Untl the mid-twenteth century, modern human greatly overlooked to technology’s damage as a poison because of focusing on its benefts as a remedy and an antdote to diseases. Interestngly, the 21st century technology and the achievements of humanity are accompanied by various problems called “side efects” in that text. The frst critcisms of the destructve efects of technology were made by the existental philosopher Martn Heidegger. In Heidegger critcism, technology was held responsible for alienatng human from authentc essence, for objectfcaton and instrumentalizaton, and for the global problems experienced in 20th century. Afer Heidegger, analysis of technology and the dose of critcism have increased every day to mechanizaton, technologicalizaton, virtualizaton, simulaton, globalizaton, dystopia and over the categories. Today, this analysis and critcism contnues in a mult-dimensional manner. One of the efectve critcal analyses was presented in “poison” categories by John Naisbit. Naisbit suggested that it caused some kind of toxicity in areas of high technology. He identfed six basic symptoms of technologically poisoned areas: Speed passion in everything from religion to feeding, worship of technology, blurring the distncton between real and fake, normalizing violence, loving technology like toys, living life both distant and frantc... In this artcle, the technologically intoxicaton thesis was analysed with an analytcal method based on literature review. As a result, technology is a popular pharmakon that is devastated to old problems, but it is not possible to remove any side efects such as emergency and efectve drugs. Technologically intoxicaton is the most obvious side efect associated with the diffusion of digital and techno-culture. Therefore, in this informatcs revoluton, which is directed to “from human to user, from tool to device”, both of approaches “technology as a pure beneft” or “technology as a detrimental additon” are reductve approaches and are insufcient to explain the phenomenon of technologically intoxicaton. Instead, the advantages of a holistc approach that is based on the power of explanaton of “technology design as ontological enttes interactng with human beings” and that deals with technology with side efects should be emphasized.
