The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of small sided games with 1 jockey and 2 jockeys on acceleration, deceleration, running distances at different speed ranges, total time spent at 80-90-100% of HRmax compared to games without jockeys. The study was designed to be conducted 1 day a week for 4 weeks. After the familiarisation session, 1 set each of 4v4, 4v4+1 and 4v4+2 small-sided games were randomly selected for 4 minutes on a 24x36 m field. The alpha level of significance was set as 0.05. No significant change was observed in the high-intensity parameters in the games with 1 jockey and 2 jockeys compared to the game without jockey. However, deceleration (-1.99-1.00 m/s²), acceleration (-1.99-1.00 m/s²), HR min. [beats.min-1] and HR mean. [beats.min-2] parameters, significant results were observed in the game with 1 jockey compared to the game without jockey. Except for the acceleration (-1.99-1.00 m/s²) parameter, there was no statistically significant increase in any physical and physiological parameter in games with 2 jockeys compared to games with 1 jockey and games without jockeys. These results indicate that: (i) games with 1 jockey caused a significant increase in moderate intensity deceleration, acceleration and mean heart rate data compared to games without jockey, (ii) games with 2 jockeys did not cause a significant increase in any parameter compared to games without jockey and games with 1 jockey.
