Ulrasound Assisted Dyeing of Polyester and Polyester/ Polyamide Blends

Özet

In this work, 60/40% PES/PA blended woven fabric was dyed with disperse dyes by the ultrasonic assisted, the conventional  and the HT methods. C.I. Disperse Red 73 and C.I. Disperse Red 60 were used in the dyeings. The ultrasonic assisted and the conventional methods were carried out at 95°C. In the HT method, the temperature was 130°C, no carrier was used. Although the temperature is quite high in the conventional HT method, as compared to the other two methods, almost similar K/S values were obtained and similarly, % exhaustion values were almost the same at the end of the dyeings.
