Özet

In this paper, we aim to provide a comprehensive analysis of the protests in Turkey and try to bring a temporal perspective to the issue to understand the structure of alliances formed between 2013-2016. In this line, we look at how these alliances differ over time. We choose 2 major events that affected the general scheme of social movements in Turkey: Gezi Protests and Coup D'etat Attempt on 15th of July. We would like to observe the effects of these events in the formation of political alliances on a temporal basis. To this end, we will be using social network analysis to visualize and analyze the political alliances as well as deduce the positionality of the actors in these protests.
