In this article, the North African public finance writer ed-Davudi, who lived under the Fatimid administration, deals with the economic views on the main issues such as "economic behavior of the individual", "the rights of the poor over the wealth of the rich", "minimum subsistence level and poverty line", "legal status of the conquered lands" and "economic crimes and anti-corruption policies" in a way that has a good command of the source, subject and language. The fact that almost no study has been done about the period in question in the field of economic history in our country increases the importance of the article.
Bu makalede Fâtımî idaresi altında yaşayan Kuzey Afrikalı kamu maliyesi yazarı ed-Dâvudî’nin “bireyin iktisadî davranışları”, “yoksulların zenginlerin servetleri üzerindeki hakları”, “asgarî geçim düzeyi ve sefalet sınırı”, “fethedilmiş toprakların hukukî statüsü” ve “iktisadî suçlar ve yolsuzluk karşıtı politikalar” gibi ana konulardaki iktisadî görüşleri kaynak, konu ve dile hâkim bir şekilde ele alınmaktadır. Ülkemizde iktisat tarihi sahasında söz konusu dönemle ilgili hemen hiçbir çalışma yapılmamış olması makalenin önemini arttırmaktadır.
