Özet

In the field of communication, research measuring the effects of mass media have started a century ago. In this period, impact measuring researches has been made by different researchers and institiutions with different methods and the results had been used for various purposes. While first studies focused on the effects of the political news, the effects of violence and economic news on readers have started to become the themes of communication studies in time. Besides political, violence and economic news, the magazine news has an important place in mass media and has become an indispensable lifesaver for journalists and media organizations. Due to political oppression and intention of raising the profit, the magazine-related news and programs are becoming popular. In this study, it was focused on the effects of magazin news on the attitude and the behavior of redears about their consumption habits. By employing survey research method, this essay reveals that the magazine news in the Internet newspapers has intermediate effects on consumption habits of readers.
