It is very difficult to find a historical personality whose statements about him do not match the same as Sheikh Bedreddin. The existence of different approaches about Bedreddin's personality has continued from his time to the present day, and although the information in the primary sources remains the same, speculations about him have continued to increase. The interesting point is that these speculations were made without taking into account Bedreddin's own works, especially his most comprehensive and last work, et-Teshîl. A complete evaluation of what is expressed in primary and secondary sources about Sheikh Bedreddin has not yet been made. This article does not address well-known facts about Sheikh Bedreddin's life and does not aim to provide a complete evaluation of the sources. The aim of the article is to present a proposal for the evaluation of two different narrative styles that are at the root of the different attitudes about the process that led to his execution in the main sources, and in the context of the publication of at-Teshîl, two different and contradictory ideological constructs that do not properly take into account Sheikh Bedreddin's work in fiqh, namely is to criticize socialist and liberal fictions.
