Private schools have been a driving force in the Turkish National Education system over the years,
both with their physical characteristics and their implementations. As the first examples of private schools in
our country, foreign private schools have managed to leave long-lasting impact on our education system. From
this point of view, it is known that foreign private schools have a great organizational reputation when
compared to other private schools. However, there is no research on this subject in the literature. For this
purpose, in this research students and teachers perceptions about the organizational reputation of foreign private
schools were tried to be determined. Phenomenology design was used in the research. The research was carried
out in 2019 with 37 students and 37 Turkish teachers in three different foreign private schools. The data of the
research were collected with the help of semi-structured open-ended questions asked to students and teachers.
The obtained data were analyzed using the content analysis method. According to the results of the research,
it was determined that students and teachers' perceptions of the organizational reputation of foreign private
schools are generally shaped by the themes of education system, school culture, organizational image, school
management, opportunities and possibilities. In addition, according to the research results, it was understood
that some non-school factors were also effective on students' perceptions of the organizational reputation of
foreign private schools. Within the scope of the research, it is expected that determining of the current
organizational reputation of foreign private schools will contribute to the relevant literature and help other
schools in organizational reputation management.
