Özet

In this study, 1.5 mm thick TRIP 800 steel plates were joined with copper-based S Cu 6100 (CuAl8) wire by gas metal arc brazing method. The samples were prepared in joining form as overlap joint. Argon was used as shielding gas and brazing operations were carried out at shielding gas output rates of 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 L/min. The tensile strength of the joining points was determined and the micro and macrostructures of the joining points were examined under an optical microscope to see the joinability of TRIP 800 steel with gas metal arc brazing technique at different shielding gas flow rates.
