This Keynote Speech first starts with a brief description of the alternative
education in the West that challenges mainstream education that focuses solely
on materialism, cognitive intelligence, standards, and marks. The article then
discusses how new alternative education theories may enable the rise of an
overall improvement of the social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual
aspects of the individual through such education. Finally, it dwells on the
comparison and possible applicability of Islamic educational terms and theories
with these new contemporary educational theories
