Özet

It is widely used in structural steels, steel construction, bridge fabrication, press vessel and machine constructions. In these manufacturing areas, various designs are encountered where the surface roughness is required to be at certain values in places where milling process is required. The metal cutting process was carried out on the Fe 37 structural steels numerically controlled milling machine with the PVD method with the TiAl coated cutting tool. When the factors affecting the surface roughness of the chip removal application are examined; It appears as rotation speed, cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut, cutting tool angle, coolant fluid, temperature and cutting tool type. ANOVA analysis was performed by selecting these factors of feed cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Taguchi L9 experiment design was created by taking all of these factors at three different values. Surface roughness has been chosen as the output parameter. ANOVA analysis of the surface roughness results obtained was performed. The effect of each selected factor on the surface roughness in% ratio and the conditions under which the machining can be performed according to the desired surface quality have been determined.
