2nd International Education In Interior Architecture Symposium, Ankara, Türkiye, 15 Mayıs - 16 Eylül 2019, ss.128-136
Furniture, which is a usual component of interior architecture, is included among the requirements of a
space. The university, where this requirement for theoretical and practical knowledge is experienced, is
one of the most ideal environments for the conveyance and production of knowledge. The theoretical
production – conveyance of knowledge and the practical reflections of these, which are the key point in
the flow of applications, are realized in a university environment. In this sense, it is important to form
programs that would provide for the required experiences within the environment mentioned in the
process of an effective knowledge conveyance and production. Within the scope of this study, the
theoretical and practical distributions of the furniture course through the course information packages
announced to be within the scope of the Bologna process of the higher education institutions that provide
interior decoration education in Turkey have been studied carefully. Especially, the 1/1 scale application
as a response to the practical reflection has been cross-examined on the findings obtained and to what
extent they are in the programs.
