The project "Technical Assistance for the Support for Children's Rights in Türkiye" is being implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Services (MoFSS) as the End Beneficiary (EB), Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS) as the Co–Beneficiary (CB), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs (DEUA of MoFA) as the Lead Institution and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) as the Contracting Authority of the project. The project is funded by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance 2014-2020 (IPA II).
The
project aims to improve the standards of the different types of care and
protection services for children and combat child labour in the child's best
interests (in a child-centred, rights-based, inclusive approach, especially
concerning children with disabilities and refugee and migrant children).
Furthermore, it is aimed to support the MoFSS and MoLSS in implementing
holistic rights-based policies to the benefit of children in Türkiye in line
with the national children's rights strategy and action plan (and its
revisions), the UNCRC, and the EU Guidelines for the Promotion and Protection
of the Rights of the Child and the EU Child Rights Strategy.
