The primary objectives we aim to achieve through this project encompass:
Enhanced Awareness and Education: To increase the knowledge levels of young individuals in earthquake-prone areas,
ensuring they comprehend the significance, potential impacts, and necessary precautions associated with seismic activities.
Empowerment of Youth: To foster a community of young individuals who are not just aware but are also proactive and
empowered. Our objective is to move beyond the traditional passive forms of learning and instill in them the confidence to
lead, educate others, and assist during crisis scenarios.
Creation of Robust and Sustainable Digital Resources: To develop and sustain a comprehensive digital platform that offers
timely and pertinent information, resources, and real-time assistance, targeted primarily at young individuals.
Research and Knowledge Dissemination: To produce scholarly articles and resources that dive deep into the challenges
and strategies surrounding youth and earthquake preparedness, which can be referenced by academic and professional
entities alike.
The outcomes or results we would like to realize include:
Elevated Preparedness and Youth Resilience: A notable enhancement in the preparedness levels of young individuals leads
to safer responses during seismic events and bolsters youth resilience to earthquakes. This improvement includes various
dimensions like emergency preparedness, community resilience awareness, disaster recovery, and psychosocial support.
One of the significant outcomes of this enhancement is the creation of a comprehensive guidebook. This essential resource
is tailored for practitioners and youth workers to bolster preparedness among young people, marking its immense
importance for the youth demographic in ensuring their safety and well-being during seismic events.
Empowered Youth Communities: Witnessing more young individuals taking the lead in community-wide earthquake
preparedness initiatives, leading discussions, training sessions, and spreading awareness.
