Abstract:
The Faculty of Fine Arts at Kocaeli University is organizing the 1st Hereke Guitar Days to introduce and showcase the original works and creations of Turkish guitarist-composers. The event aims to record live performances of unpublished and unperformed guitar pieces, allowing composers to personally present their works. Scheduled for May 12-13, 2009, the event will feature concerts where the guitarists will introduce their compositions, along with a dedicated webpage for announcements. This initiative seeks to broaden the reach of original guitar compositions and promote the contributions of Turkish guitarist-composers to the global guitar literature.
