Biography
Burcu Düzgün-Öncel has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of English Economics at Marmara University since 2022. She worked as a research assistant in the same department between 2011-2015 and as an assistant professor between 2015-2022. She has received her Bachelor’s (2006), MA (2008) and PhD (2014) degrees from Marmara University, Department of Economics as well. She was a visiting researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra during the summer 2007 and at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam during the 2013-2014 academic year. She also spent two years at Bonn Graduate School of Economics between 2008-2010 for her doctoral studies. Her PhD thesis was selected the best thesis of the year by Turkish Economic Association in 2014.
