Özet:

ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı, BÖTE öğrencilerinin teknolojik bağımlılığı alt türlerinden olan internet, akıllı telefon, sosyal medya ve video oyunu bağımlılıklarının ve bu bağımlılık türlerini etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesidir. Araştırma tarama modeline uygun şekilde hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmada cevap aranan sorular şu şekildedir: 1. BÖTE öğrencilerinin internet bağımlılığı, cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, sosyo ekonomik düzey, günlük internet kullanım süresi, en üzün süredir sahip olunan teknoloji ve inernet kulanım amacına göre farklılaşmakta mıdır? 2. BÖTE öğrencilerinin akıllı telefon bağımlılığı, cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, sosyo ekonomik düzey, günlük akıllı telefon kullanım süresi, en üzün süredir sahip olunan teknoloji ve inernet kulanım amacına göre farklılaşmakta mıdır? 3. BÖTE öğrencilerinin sosyal medya bozukluğu, cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, sosyo ekonomik düzey, günlük sosyal medya kullanım süresi, en üzün süredir sahip olunan teknoloji ve inernet kulanım amacına göre farklılaşmakta mıdır? 4. -------------------- ABSTRACT In this study, the purpose was to determine the status of internet, smartphone, social media and video game addictions, which are the sub-types of technological addiction, and to examine the factors affecting these addiction types. This research was prepared according to the survey model. The following questions were explored: 1.Is there any difference to internet addiction of CEIT students according to gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, hours of daily internet usage, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage? 2. Is there any difference to smartphone addiction of CEIT students according to gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, hours of daily smartphone usage, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage? 3.Is there any difference to social media disorder of CEIT students according to gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, hours of daily social media usage, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage? 4. Is there any difference to video game addiction of CEIT students according to gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, hours of playing games daily, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage? The participants of the study was determined as the students of CEIT currently studying at Marmara University and Trakya University. The instruments used in this study were Turkish version of Smart Phone Addiction Scale-Short Form (ATBÖ-KF), Turkish version of Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form (YIBT-KF), Turkish version of Digital Game Addiction Scale (DOBÖ-7) and Turkish version of Social Media Disorder Scale (SMBÖ). The analyses applied related to the data collected, the assumptions to make parametric tests were examined, since most of the variables do not meet the parametric test assumptions, Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis-H tests have been used as the nonparametric equivalents of the tests. The findings obtained from the study are as followings: There was no significant difference between the internet addiction and gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, hours of daily internet usage, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage. There was no significant difference between smartphone addiction and gender, age, class, monthly income of the family, the technology they have for the longest time and the main purpose of internet usage. But a significant difference was found regarding hours of daily smartphone usage. There was no significant difference between social media disorder and gender, age, class, monthly income of the family and the technology they have for the longest time. But a significant difference was found regarding hours of daily social media usage and the main purpose of internet usage. There was no significant difference between video game addiction and age, class and technology that they had for the longest time. However, a significant diffrence is found between gender, monthly income of family, hours of playing games daily and the the main purpose of internet usage.
