Özet:

GEZİ PARKI PROTESTOLARINDA SOSYAL MEDYA ETKİSİ Teknolojik gelişmelerin her alanda olduğu gibi medya alanındaki etkileri de çok hızlı ve yaygın bir şekilde görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sosyal medya ve günümüz toplumsal olaylarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın ana konusu Arap Baharı ve Occupy Wall Street’de olduğu gibi, sosyal medya etkisi ve etkileşiminin yoğun olarak görüldüğü Gezi Parkı protestolarıdır. Gezi Parkı protestolarının oluşumu ve beraberindeki gelişmeler, protestonun taraflarıyla yapılan derinlemesine mülakatların da sunulduğu ek bölümle birlikte incelenmiş ve tartışılmıştır. In this study, social media and their influence on today’s social events is examined. Istanbul Gezi Park protests where social media impact and interactivity could have seen, as it was in Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street, is the main focus of the study. The emergence of Gezi Park protests and the developments brought with it are widely examined and discussed in the study, along with an appendix presenting in-depth interviews which were had with the parties of the protests.
