Özet:

Kurumsal anlamda itibar, bir işletmenin iş ve iletişim kabiliyetine bağlı olarak elde ettiği soyut değerlerin bütünüdür. Tutarlı ve takdir toplayan aksiyonlar sonucunda çok uzun sürede kazanılabilen itibar, işletmelere başta rekabet gücü olmak üzere çok sayıda avantaj kazandırmaktadır. Medya kuruşları asırlardır bilgiye ulaşımı kolaylaştırmakta ve insanoğlunu yaşanan olaylar hakkında haberdar etmektedir. Bu nedenle medya kuruluşlarının hedef kitlesi nezdinde itibarlı olması son derece önemlidir. Bu kapsamda ilgili çalışma medya kuruluşlarının itibarını etkileyen temel faktörlerin derinlemesine mülakat ve betimsel analiz teknikleriyle belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; güven vermeyen, ekonomik olarak yetersiz olan, ürün ve hizmet kalitesiyle hedef kitlesinin beklentilerini karşılayamayan, iyi çalışanlara sahip olmayan, taraflı yayın yapan, etik değerleri gmeyen ve yanıltıcı bilgiler aktaran medya kuruluşlarının itibarlı olabilmeleri oldukça zordur. Özellikle bilgi aktarımında kaliteyi belirleyen en önemli unsurun, bilginin gerçeğe olan yakınlığı olduğu düşünüldüğünde, medya kuruluşlarının iyi bir itibar için mutlaka etik ve ahlaki değerlere uygun bir yayın politikasına sahip olmaları gerekmektedir. ABSTRACT Reputation, in corporate respect, is all of the discrete values acquired by the corporation associated with its works and communication abilities. Reputation acquired with consistent and appreciation gaining activities for long time brings numerous advantages to the corporations including competitiveness. Media corporations have been easing to reach information for centuries and informing human being about incidents and events. Therefore, it is of great importance that media corporations be reputable before the target groups. Within this scope, the purpose of this study is to determine the fundamental factors affecting the reputation of the media corporations with the methods of in-depth interview and descriptive analysis. Based upon the results acquired, it is rather hard for those media corporations which are unreliable, and insufficient in terms of economic status, and which do not meet the expectations of the target group with their service quality, and which do not have capable workers, and which provide biased broadcasting, and which do not consider the ethical values and which transfer misstatements, to become reputable. Upon considering the fact that the most substantial factor for determining the quality is the affinity of information to the truth, it is essential for the media corporations to have a broadcasting policy meeting the ethic and moral values provided that the media corporations intend to acquire reputation.
