ABSTRACT An Analysis of the Factors that Affect the Technology Acceptance of the White Collar Employees Today, information has gained great importance for the organizations and the effective use of information is possible by using technology channels. Thus, organizations invest heavily on a variety of technology to improve the effectiveness of their company and employees. However, investments could not be significant unless the employees are aware of the importance of technology and they accept the technology to use. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the technology acceptance of white collar employees. The acceptance of technology was assessed as the level of intention of employees and the actual usage was not covered. The factors that affect acceptance intention were grouped into two: individual and organizational factors. The related factors adapted from the seven prominent theories and models in the acceptance literature. According to the analysis results, self-efficacy is the most significant determinant that explains the acceptance intention of the employees. Besides, personal innovativeness, attitude toward change, attitude toward using technology, image, and facilitating conditions are the other factors that can predict the acceptance intention of the white collar employees. During the study, the technology acceptance literature has been reviewed and in the light of the prior studies, a research model has been developed to determine the acceptance intention of the white collar employees. It is also proposed that the model and the analysis results will provide a usable know-how and guidance for the technology implementers in the organizations.
