Özet:

‘Ortaöğretimde Tekstil Tasarım Eğitimi’ başlıklı çalışmada, Türkiye’deki Meslek Liselerinde verilen Tekstil Tasarım eğitimi; Giriş, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı, Türk Milli Eğitim Sistemi, Mesleki ve Teknik Ortaöğretim Kurumları, Anadolu Kız Meslek Liselerinde Tekstil Alanı Programı ve Tekstil Tasarımı Eğitimi Veren Okullar başlıklı bölümler altında incelenmektedir. Tezin amacı ve sınırları kısaca Giriş bölümünde açıklanmaktadır. Birinci Bölüm, bütün kurumların bağlı olduğu en büyük ve belirleyici organ olan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’nın görevlerini, örgüt yapısını ortaya koymaktadır. Bakanlığa bağlı olarak mesleki ve teknik eğitim konularında planlama, araştırma, geliştirme ve üretim hizmetlerini yürüten Mesleki ve Teknik Eğitim Araştırma ve Geliştirme Merkezi (METARGEM)’nin teşkilat yapısı, proje faaliyetleri, görevleri ve ortaöğretimde Tekstil Tasarımı alanında eğitim veren belirlenmiş üç okulun programlarını şekillendiren METGE projesi; Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı başlığı altında verilmektedir. İkinci Bölüm, Türk Milli Eğitim Sisteminin temel ilkelerini; okul öncesi eğitim, ilköğretim, ortaöğretim ve yükseköğretim kurumlarını kapsayan örgün eğitim ile yaygın eğitimden oluşan genel yapısını açıklamaktadır. Tekstil alanından eğitim veren Erkek Teknik ve Kız Teknik Öğretim okullarının bağlı olduğu mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim kurumları; Türk Milli Eğitim Sistemi başlığı altında ele alınmaktadır. Üçüncü Bölümde, mesleki ve teknik ortaöğretim kurumları arasında yer alan Kız Teknik ve Erkek Teknik Öğretim okulları, tarihçeleri, bu kurumların bağlı olduğu Genel Müdürlüklerin görevleri, Genel Müdürlüklere bağlı okulların tanımları anlatılmaktadır. Tekstil alanında eğitim veren liseler detaylı olarak Mesleki Ve Teknik Ortaöğretim Kurumları başlığı altında incelenmektedir. Dördüncü Bölümde, Tekstil Tasarım dalının bağlı olduğu tekstil alanı, meslek ve öğretim programları incelenmektedir. Bu alan içinde okutulan Ortak Genel Kültür, Meslek Alan ve Teorik/Uygulamalı Meslek Dersleri ayrıntılı olarak Anadolu Kız Meslek Liselerinde Tekstil Alanı Programı başlığı altında açıklanmıştır. Beşinci Bölümün içeriğini oluşturan Tekstil Tasarım dalı, Türkiye’de bu eğitimin verildiği üç okul ele alınarak anlatılmaktadır. Bu üç okulun; İstinye Şükran Ülgezen Anadolu Meslek Lisesi, Adana Sabancı Anadolu Tekstil Meslek Lisesi, Isparta Anadolu Meslek Lisesi’nin tanıtımı, öğrenci ve öğretmen sayısı, mezunların durumu, Tekstil Tasarım derslerinde okutulan zorunlu dersler, kullanılan kaynaklar, yıllık ders programları, zümre toplantı tutanakları, öğrenci işleri; Tekstil Tasarım Eğitimi Veren Okullar başlığı altında toplanmıştır. SUMMARY Under the title, “Training in Textile Design in Secondary School Education”, this dissertation examines the education in Textile Design given in Turkey’s Vocational High Schools under the following headings: Introduction, The Ministry of Education, the Turkish Educational System, Secondary Institutions of Vocational and Technical Education, the Textile Area Program in the Anatolian Technical High Schools for Girls, and Schools Offering Education in Textile Design. The purpose and limits of the thesis have been briefly explained in the introduction. Chapter One outlines the organizational structure and functions of the Ministry of Education, the highest and most authoritative body to which all the other institutions are attached. Under the title, ‘The Ministry of Education’, this chapter describes the METGE project, which determines the programs of the three schools designated to offer education in the field of Textile Design at the secondary level, and the organizational structure, projects and functions of the Center for Research and Development in Vocational and Technical Training (METARGEM), which is attached to the Ministry and is in charge of all planning, research, development, and production services in the field of vocational and technical education. Chapter Two explains the fundamental principles of the Turkish System of Education and its overall structure, which consists of formal and informal education encompassing pre-school, the primary and secondary schools, and the institutions of higher learning. Under the title, ‘The Turkish System of Education’, this chapter discusses the secondary-level institutions of vocational and technical education to which the Technical Schools for Boys and the Technical Schools for Girls that offer education in the field of textiles are attached. Chapter Three describes the Technical Schools for Boys and Technical Schools for Girls among the secondary-level institutions of vocational and technical education and their histories, the functions of the General Directorates to which these schools are attached, and the schools that are attached to the General Directorates. Under the title, ‘Secondary-level Institutions of Vocational and Technical Education’, this chapter examines in detail the high schools that offer education in the field of textiles. Chapter Four examines the field of textiles, of which Textile Design is a branch, and its vocational and educational programs. Under the title, ‘The Textile Program in the Anatolian Vocational High Schools for Girls’, this chapter describes in detail the Common Culture, the Vocation, and the Theoretical and Applied Courses taught in the field.
