Özet:Bu çalışmanın konusu Tanzimat dönemi yazarlarından Ahmet Midhat Efendi’nin 1892 yılında yazdığı Ahmet Metin ve Şirzad yahud Roman İçinde Roman adlı eserine Tanzimat devri ideolojilerinin yansımasıdır. Medeniyetçilik, Osmanlıcık, İslamcılık ve Türkçülük ideolojileri Tanzimat devrinde Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nu yaşatmak için ortaya atılır. Ahmet Midhat Efendi de devrinin önemli aydınlarından birisi olarak bu ideolojileri benimser ve değişen siyasi şartlara göre aldığı yeni şekilleri savunur. Ahmet Midhat Efendi2nin son ve en önemli romanlarından biri olan Ahmet Metin ve Şirzad’da bu dört ideolojinin de yansımaları bulunur. Yazar; Medeniyet, Batı medeniyeti, maddi ve manevi medeniyet hakkındaki düşüncelerine bu romanda da geniş yer verir. Osmanlıcılılık ideolojisini İmparatorluğun çok uluslu yapısını dikkate alan ve padişaha bağlılığı önceleyen bir tutumla devam ettirir. İslam’ın Hıristiyanlık karşısındaki üstünlüğünü, Müslümanların birlik ve beraberliği fikrini, İslam’ın eski medeniyetinin büyüklüğünü geniş bir şekilde işler. Daha önceki eserlerinde bir ideoloji olarak görünmeyen Türkçülük fikri de bu romanda oldukça önemli yer tutar. Romanda Türklerin Osmanlı ve İslamiyet öncesi tarihleri hakkında geniş bilgiler verir. Türklerin maddi ve manevi üstünlüklerine vurgu yapar. Okuyucunun bu üstünlüğü fark etmesini ve bundan gurur duymasını telkin eder. SUBTRACT The topic of this subject is; the reflection of the ideology of Tanzimat era to the achievements of the author Ahmet Mithat Efendi, which are Ahmet Metin and Şirzad veyahud Roman İçinde Roman (Ahmet Metin and Şirzad or Novel in novels) published in 1982. Ideologies of Culture, Ottomanism, Islamism and Turkism have been proposed to keep alive the Ottoman Empire.Ahmet Mithad Efendi is one of the prominent intellectuals of Tanzimat era and he has been adopted these ideologies and defended the new shapes according to changing political conditions. Ahmet Metin and Şirzad which is one of the last and most important novels of Ahmet Mithad Efendi, has reflections of those four ideologies. Author gave large places in his novel of his thoughts about the Culture, Western Culture, Material and Spiritual Culture. He resumes the Ottomanizm ideology with a priority manner of loyalty to the Sultan and with a manner of multinational structure of the Empire. He largely expressed the superiority of Islam against Christianity, idea of Moslem’s unity and solidarity and the size of the old culture of Islam. Turkism idea, that did not appear as an idology in his previous novel, has an important place in this novel. In the novel, about the histories of pre-Islamic and Ottoman of Turkish gives extensive information. It emphasizes the moral and material superiority of the Turks. It suggest to recognize this superiority and be proud with it for reader.
