Examination of the Effect of Manager's Political Behaviour on Employee Performance through Burnout in Syrian Non-Governmental Organizations Located in Turkey

Özet:

Even though managers' political behaviour is meant to improve employee performance, it can potentially affect employee performance and other characteristics as well. The objective of this study is to outline the relationship between employee performance and the line manager's political behaviour at work, as multiple perspectives regarding the relationship have been reported. Specifically, the study seeks to determine the impact of management teams’ political behaviour on employee burnout, and the effect on employee effectiveness.

A sample of 320 respondents was used where the participants were issued questionnaires to fil information regarding their opinions on managers’ political behaviour which include Supervisor Qualifications as well as Manager Technical Supervision, and its effect on Burnout uncomfortable work environment and a lack of knowledge about the team's qualifications. and Performance at workplace which include the awareness of the work environment and awareness of personal skills.

According to the study, employee burnout can happen because of a variety of factors, both external and internal factors to the organization. However, most of those factors stem from managers' political behaviour. Moreover, there is a strong negative correlation between awareness of the work environment and uncomfortable in the work environment. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the unknown of team qualifications and the awareness of the work environment. Lastly, this study concludes that there is a moderately strong correlation between awareness of personal skills and supervisor qualifications. Managers' technical supervision is positively correlated with awareness of personal skills.
