Abstract:It is the melody type form and structure that makes music the most interesting. These features can be classified according to the general type of the melody, performance, the area and the place of performance. Turkish music melodies were also influential in determining form structures. The performance of religious music, which is a form of classical Turkish music vocal music, has a very long history. Religious music contains a wide variety of forms of performance. A study has been carried out to determine whether there is a unique sound training method of this music with strong and powerful performances. The study was conducted with academicians, religious officials and musicians who performed religious music. In the study, there are twelve questions and it is aimed to determine the participants' knowledge, practice and methods about the religious music vocal training on the basis of their the education, graduation and the profession. 39 participants attended in the research. If we interpret the study in context of not only our religious music bu also in general, it can be summarized as the fact that participants uttered there is no voice training method related to Turkish music. For the present performances, it has been determined that the western music is still preparing to performances by the voice tuning up techniques. As a result of the research, religious music performers who participants of the study stated that there is no method in religious music related to voice training and it was determined that they consider practicing as a kind of voice training. It is stated that the Western music voice technique practiced in the current voice training is not a proper and right technique for religious music performances. Finally, participants' information about the voice health, their thoughts about the training of different voice tones and the sources they benefited from were mentioned in the study.
