Özet:Ülkemizde eğitim yöneticisi cinsiyetinin göreve bir etkisi var mıdır, varsa hangi konularda ve ne yönde bir etkisi mevcuttur? Ülkemizde eğitim yöneticisinin hizmetiçi eğitim almış olmasının göreve bir etkisi var mıdır, varsa hangi konularda ve ne yönde bir etkisi mevcuttur? Yukarıdaki sorulara yanıt verebilmek için 1997–2006 yılları arasında yapılmış ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim genel lise eğitim yöneticilerinin algılarını içeren 378 adet yüksek lisans ve doktora çalışmasının bulunduğu bir havuzda kodlama protokolüne uygun 56 tez meta analiz araştırmasına dâhil edilmiştir. Bu tezlerden eğitim yöneticisi cinsiyet farklılığının etki büyüklüğü hesaplanabilecek veriye sahip, 5824 eğitim yöneticisinin algısını kapsayan 49 tez ve eğitim yöneticisinin hizmetiçi eğitim almasının etki büyüklüğü hesaplanabilecek veriye sahip, 2425 eğitim yöneticisinin algısını kapsayan 16 tez meta analitik etki büyüklüğü analizine dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmamız sonucunda eğitim yöneticisi cinsiyetinin göreve olan ortalama etki büyüklüğünün hemen hemen hiç olmadığı, ancak tezler bazında bakıldığında bazı konularda geniş bazılarında ise orta düzeyde etki büyüklüğüne sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca tezlerde kullanılan ölçeklerin tezi yapan tarafından hazırlanmış ya da hazırlanmamış olması ile eğitim yöneticisi cinsiyetinin göreve olan ortalama etki büyüklüğü arasında bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmamızın diğer bir sonucu olarak eğitim yöneticisinin hizmetiçi eğitim almış olmasının göreve olan ortalama etki büyüklüğünün küçük düzeyde, tezler bazında bakıldığında ise bazı konularda orta düzeyde etki büyüklüğüne sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar doğrultusunda uygulamacı ve araştırmacılara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. ABSTRACT Is there any effect size of the gender of education administrators, and if there exists, in which subjects and what is the direction of the effect size? Is there any effect size of an education administrator that participated in service training in Turkey? If there exists, in which subjects and what is the direction of the effect size? To answer the above questions, 56 studies that have eligible data were included to the Meta-analysis research by coding protocol from the pool of 378 studies, which are master and doctorial theses. 49 of 56 studies have the data that give the answer to the first question, which is the effect size of the gender of education administrators, and contain 5824 education administrators. 16 of 56 studies have the data to give the answer to the second question, which is the effect size of education administrators who participated in the service training and in these studies 2425 education administrators were involved. At the end of our research the mean effect size of the gender of education administrators is calculated to be almost none in Turkey. But it is determined that in some studies the effect size of the gender of education administrators was calculated to be large and in some to be medium level. It was also found that there is a relation between the method of scale preparation of theses containing data about the gender of education administrators and the effect size of the gender of education administrators. In addition the mean effect size of education administrators who participated in the service training was calculated as small. But it was determined that in some studies the effect size of education administrators who participated in the service training was calculated as medium level. In relation with the results some recommendations were made for practitioners and researches.
