Abstract:
The main purpose of this thesis is to study comultiplication modules that are duals of multiplication modules over a commutative ring with identity. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for a module to be a multiplication module. Similarly, we present necessary and sufficient conditions for a module to be a comultiplication module. Furthermore, we investigate some facts that are true for multiplication modules to check if they are also valid for comultiplication modules. Finally, we give a characterization of multiplication and comultiplication domains by introducing the notion of product and coproduct of submodules of these modules .
